The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Designate Vasily Petrenko are delighted to announce the latest performance in this magnificent season of Royal Albert Hall concert broadcasts. Internationally acclaimed pianist Stephen Hough joins the Orchestra to perform Saint-Saëns’ exotic “Egyptian” Piano Concerto alongside Scriabin’s enthralling Second Symphony, recorded live in the Royal Albert Hall and streaming to you directly in the comfort of your own home from Thursday 3 June 2021.

This announcement follows the successful premiere of the opening concert with Jess Gillam in March, enjoyed by a large global audience. The series also continues in April and May with performances from outstanding soloists Nicola Benedetti and Paul Lewis, presenting classic concertos and exciting musical gems, whilst also showcasing the dynamic partnership between the Orchestra and Vasily Petrenko.

This series of online concerts follows a range of digital presentations which the Orchestra has undertaken since the start of the pandemic.
