The 2021/22 season celebrates a double anniversary: 100 seasons since the opening of the Teatro Real in 1850 and the number 25 since its reopening in 1997. Composers of all times such as Rossini, Händel, Puccini, Wagner, Luis de Pablo, Prokofiev, Mozart, Honegger, Verdi, Purcell and Debussy, among others, come together in this special season with great classics, titles never seen at the Royal Theater and the best artists. A journey through five centuries of opera, which incorporates ten new titles to the Real’s repertoire, with an absolute premiere.
