On December 13^th, as part of the concert of the Staatskapelle Berlin, Gala Concert to Celebrate the 200^th Anniversary of the Staatsopernchor took place under the musical direction of Daniel Barenboim. The chorus gave the German premiere of Luca Francesconi’s DENTRO NON HA TEMPO, together with Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D major and other classics.

Chamber singer Waltraud Meier, who appeared on stage for the first time with the Staatsopernchor in Wagner's Parsifal in 1992 and has been closely associated with the ensemble ever since, gave the celebratory speech.
