This season of ARTE Opera! musical event brings Richard Wagner's monumental Der Ring des Nibelungen conducted by Christian Thielemann and boldly directed by Dmitri Tcherniakov. The full cycle is available on ARTE Concert. 

This four-part opera, which includes Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, is initially inspired by Nordic and Germanic mythology and this production is recorded at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin with the renowned Staatskapelle Berlin and internationally renowned singers.
