We all know the challenges by technologies. The competitor we have is not other centre, it's Netflix. Our society is getting a lot more complex. I think many of you are living in cities that face a lot more attentions today. Not only cultural differences, but also economic divergence. But at the same time, I think that desire for civic participation creates lots of new opportunities for us as art centres. And last of all, I have to make a picture of Asia; it is partly because Singapore is located in it, the most dynamic and exciting region both economically and culturally.
