Right in the heart of the City of London, the "Culture Mile" brings together and was founded by four major arts organisations in the City – the Barbican, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Museum of London. Based on the fact that we all share a heritage, our "Culture Mile" is uniquely placed with its blend of the ancient and the modern all around and 2000 years of history colliding with the best of culture today. Artistic activities livened one of the most horrible bits of the City. We wish to use creative dividends to enrich people’s lives, where creativity is genuinely around every corner, and activate the space between the buildings.
