On December 20, the Teatro Real will broadcast in cinemas throughout Spain the performance of Rigoletto that will be performed in its main hall, starring an extraordinary cast that has in its main roles the baritone Ludovic Tézier (Rigoletto), the tenor Javier Camarena (Duke of Mantua) and soprano Adela Zaharia (Gilda).
At the head of a cast of great voices, the Titular Choir and Orchestra of the Teatro Real, will be Nicola Luisotti, who already conducted this title at the Teatro Real in 2015. The stage has been conceived and directed by Miguel del Arco.
With the broadcast of Rigoletto, the Teatro Real recovers an activity stopped in 2011 that now returns to the big screen thanks to Bravo technology – the same one that the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London and the Opéra national de Paris are using to offer their seasons live – and that, After this first broadcast in national cinemas, it will move to international cinemas.
Before the start of the performance (7.30 p.m.), cinema viewers will be able to enjoy an interesting introduction with interviews with the performers and those responsible for the production.
