Osesp received the Brazilian Music Award in the Best Classical Release category with Sinfonia dos Orixás & Pequenos Funerais Cantantes, an album dedicated to works by São Paulo native Almeida Prado (Naxos, 2023). The album, which is conducted by guest conductor Neil Thomson, is produced, engineered and edited by Ulrich Schneider.

The album is part of the Brasil em Concerto project, developed by the Guimarães Rosa Institute, the cultural arm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Naxos label.

The Brazilian Music Award was born as the Sharp Award, in 1987, and celebrates the diversity and richness of music produced in Brazil, covering various genres and styles, from MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) to samba, rock, rap, sertanejo and others. Since its foundation, it has honored hundreds of artists, musicians, composers and professionals in the Brazilian music industry.
