The National Chopin Competition aims to encourage and promote young Brazilian pianists, as well as to honor the Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin. The event is organized by the Chopin Society of Brazil, co-organized by the Osesp Foundation and supported by the Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina, the Sanguszko House of Polish Culture, the School of Music of the State of São Paulo, the Brasília Symphony Orchestra and the Institute Guimarães Rosa.

The event will take place between January 15 and May 13, 2024, and all stages will be held at Sala São Paulo, headquarters of Osesp.

First place guarantees a spot in the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland in 2025. The Brazilian representative will present himself directly in the face-to-face knockout phase.

Registration takes place between January 15 and 22, 2024. Young Brazilian pianists up to 28 (twenty-eight) years of age must be registered by the deadline for registration.
