The president of Sodre, Adela Dubra, acknowledged the great work done by the CCM in bringing great top-level artists to share and exchange with Uruguayan musicians. She mentioned that this year's season, dedicated to the piano, will honor the memory of María Julia Caamaño, its former president, and promises to offer great concerts with outstanding pianists such as the Chinese Lang Lang, who will perform at Sodre, and the Russian Daniil Trifonov.
The upcoming concerts of the 2024 CCM Season are detailed below:
July 4 (Solís Theater): Daniil Trifonov.
Jean-Philippe Rameau, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and Beethoven in an unforgettable night.
August 8 (Sodre National Auditorium): National Youth Orchestra of the USA.
Barber, Gershwin and Rimsky Korsakov, conducted by Marin Alsop, with Jean–Yves Thibaudet at the piano.
September 4 (Sodre National Auditorium): Lang Lang.
A musical tour with works by Fauré, Schumann and Chopin.
September 22 (Solís Theatre): Janine Jansen & Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
An evening with Adès, Walton and Vivaldi.
